Procedure for Entering the Studio (Before the Session)
1. Arrival and Check-in:
1. Arrival and Check-in:
- It is recommended that you arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of your session to check-in.
- Upon entering the studio, adult participants or parents of children participants being dropped off should first sign in at the check-in corner.
- Confirmation: Verify your name on the sign-in sheet and forms provided. Any outstanding balance or signing of registration forms can be handled here if needed.
- Name Tag: Collect a name tag from the check-in corner, fill it out with your first name (or preferred name) using the write-erase markers provided, and take it with you to be placed on the apron in a visible spot.
- Apron: After confirmation, participants will be directed to choose a station on the work table where a clean freshly laundered folded apron will be waiting. Aprons are provided for protection during crafting activities and must always be worn during workshop sessions.
- Science Day for Kids: If it’s a science-themed day, participants should collect goggles from the designated station. This is especially important for safety during any potentially messy activities.
- Candle-Making Sessions: Participants will be provided protective gloves for candle-making. Gloves should always be worn during the candle-making process to ensure safety and avoid burns.
- If participants have any personal belongings (bags, jackets, etc.), they should be stored in the lockers located in the side room. Participants should ensure that all valuables are securely stored.
- Drinks should be in closed containers (bottles with lids, cups with lids, etc.). Avoid open cups to prevent spills.
- Participants should place their drinks on the designated spots of the worktable.
- After settling in, participants should choose a spot at the worktable. Staff will guide you if needed, but participants are encouraged to pick a comfortable seat.
- If there are any specific instructions or guidelines for the session (e.g., safety precautions or instructions for crafting), please take a moment to review them or ask staff for clarification before starting.
Procedure After the Session (When the Session Ends)
1. Returning Items:
1. Returning Items:
- Aprons: After the session ends, participants should remove their aprons and return them to the designated bins.
- Name Tags: Participants should remove their name tags and place them in the designated name tag collection box or return them for recycling.
- Goggles (if given for Science Day): If goggles were used, they should be returned to the goggle collection area for cleaning and recycling.
- Gloves (if provided for candle-making): Protective gloves used during the candle-making session must be returned to the staff for recycling or disposal.
- Crafted Items: Participants should collect their crafted items from the designated collection area to take home. Ensure all personal items, such as labels or tools used for crafting, are removed before departure.
- Participants should gather their personal belongings from the locker room or storage area where they stored them before the session.
- It is essential to check all areas to ensure nothing is left behind (bags, jackets, etc.)
- If a parent/guardian is collecting a child, the parent/guardian must go to the sign-out station to officially sign out their child.
- After this sign-out process is completed, the child will be handed over to the authorized individual.
- If an ID check is required for a parent/guardian, it should be performed at this stage.
- Participants must leave their worktable as is—studio staff will take care of cleaning up and disposing of any waste.
- Clean-up: Please do not attempt to clean the table or throw away any materials, as this will be handled by the staff after the session.
- Once all belongings are collected, the participant is free to exit through the main entrance. If there are any issues or concerns, participants should speak with the staff before leaving.
- If participants have any feedback about the session or additional questions, they are encouraged to ask staff before leaving or leave their feedback at the designated feedback station.
- Security: Ensure that any personal items are always secured in lockers. The studio is not responsible for lost or stolen items once a session is over.
- Safety: Always adhere to the studio’s safety guidelines, especially when handling equipment or materials that could be hazardous. Staff will guide participants through any necessary precautions before and during the session.
