Saturday, April 5th, 2025 marked a joyful milestone for us here at Patois Creative Studio—our very first children’s workshop! We welcomed excited young minds for a free Easter Basket Construction session as part of our Crafty Math workshop series. It was hands-on, colorful, filled with laughter—and most importantly, packed with learning through creativity.
This event was completely free to all who registered and showed interest, and we were thrilled to see the enthusiasm from both children and parents alike. A Close Call Turned Celebration We’re also celebrating behind the scenes: our first major shipment of supplies arrived just in time on April 1st—after days of uncertainty and crossed fingers! That delivery wasn’t just a box of paint and aprons. It was a dream realized—filled with rulers, crayons, yarn, polymer clay, UV resin, 3D printing filaments, acrylic markers, and so much more. These materials set the foundation for the creative energy that fuels not only our Crafty Math and Crafty Cash Flow workshop series, but also your spontaneous crafting moments in the studio. Sustainability in Action We are proud to share our commitment to reuse and recycle wherever possible. A special thank you goes out to Clarke’s Court Rum Distillery for their generous donation of glass bottles and cardboard boxes—essential materials for our upcoming bottle crafting workshop and many other projects down the line. This kind of support makes a big difference as we strive to blend creativity with care for our environment. With Gratitude To our friends, family, and the Grenada Office of Creative Affairs—thank you for believing in this vision and helping us reach this first step. Your support helped us turn ideas into action, and our studio into a space of joy, learning, and cultural connection. Check out our brief video by SO Productions on Facebook or Instagram. We’re just getting started—and we’re so glad you’re with us. With creativity, gratitude, and Caribbean flair, Dr. Zanifa Payne Founder, Patois Creative Studio
